The Class A uniform consists of the shirt, hat, neckerchief, belt, and slide. The shorts/pants do not need to be
Cub Scout issue, but should be presentable and preferably blue (jeans are fine). It's required to be worn for
the Flag Ceremony, when directed by a den leader, when touring, fundraising, or attending a public event. Most
boysd wear to short sleeved Cub Scout shirt and just wear a shirt underneath for when it gets cold. You do not
need to buy special socks, pants, or shorts.
It is helpful to safety pin the neckerchief at the location where the slide is located on the neckerchief to
prevent it from becoming lost when the boys run around. Another alternative is to knot the neckerchief where
the slide will be located and then push the slide over the knot. Be aware that tying a knot in the neckerchief
could present a hazzard if the neckerchief is pulled on or gets caught on something.
The Class B uniform is a Cub Scout T-Shirt. The Pack has it's own T-Shirt for sale at our cost. The T-shirt
can be worn with or without the hat at all den meetings, day and resident camps, or when prescribed by a leader.
The instructions for sewing on patches can be found in the Uniform section of the Cub handbook for your Cub
Scout (i.e. Tiger Handbook, Wolf Handbook, etc.)
Don't forget to pick up a copy of the Cub Handbook for your Den.
